  17. Is it just me, or did the post remind anyone else of the Talking Heads 
  18. lyrics "...you're talking a lot, but you're not *saying* anything..."?

  20. I say this not to criticize Mark or anyone else's enthusiasm, but let's 
  21. not get too carried away.  The "good ol' days" of the Amiga always hoped 
  22. for the future to be better.  Now, it seems that a lot of people want 
  23. to return to the past.

  25. My point is that the folks at Apple, and even PC developers, know that 
  26. their machines have a limited future.  The Amiga is no different.  I'd 
  27. love to see the Amiga thrive in the market place but in reality I only 
  28. care about what the machine does for me.

  30. I want new versions of SAS/C, ADPro, T-Rexx, SCALA, SBasePro4, ProPage, 
  31. ProCalc, ProDraw, Studio16, and more!!!  Most, many, or all of these will 
  32. never exist again and I'll continue to use what I have until something 
  33. else makes it worth my while to switch.

  35. I bought my first, second, third, and fourth Amigas because I evaluated 
  36. the other systems (hardware, operating system, and software) and decided 
  37. that the Amiga was the superior platform for the cost.  Well, now more 
  38. than ever, I need a machine that will help me earn a living.  Unless I 
  39. happen upon a Flyer and 3 9Gb hard drives, it's difficult to see the 
  40. Amiga as that machine.
